Leeds Citizens’ Advice Bureau

Westminster Buildings, 31 New York Street, Leeds, LS2 7DT.

Opening times: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday - 9.30am to 12.30pm (drop-in service)

This service is in great demand. Queuing at the office begins early, and whilst cab help 4000 clients a year at this office (about 30 new clients every drop in session), they are often unable to see all the clients that approach them for help on the same day. They are reviewing their service to provide better access to those unable to queue. To help avoid congestion, they suggest you approach your nearest Bureau, and arrive within the first hour of service.

Wednesday - appointments only

For an appointment please call into the drop-in service where they will quickly assess your enquiry to see if you can obtain free, reliable, advice from elsewhere. About a third of their clients are helped in this way. Other clients they may help with relevant information, or where more detailed work is needed you may be invited to wait for a longer more in depth discussion.

They are also open for telephone advice on Mondays to Fridays from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
