The largest part of the Parish Council’s income is raised by the precept. This is collected by Leeds City Council and then forwarded to the Parish Council.
The total precept for 2017/18 is £43,835 – this is approximately £12 per band D household. This is the first increase since the Parish Council was formed in 2008.
This income is spent on a range of projects to enhance Alwoodley and to support local groups. The Parish Council has supported the set-up costs of the new allotments, these will be self-financing in the future.
