Photographs of the beautiful area we live in
Alwoodley is a beautiful place to live. We are very close to the countryside, Eccup Reservoir, Golden Acre Park and have access to miles of bridlepaths and footpaths
This part of the website focuses on photography to celebrate Alwoodley
How to view the photographs
Some photographs are “singles, some are grouped as collections. Some are presented “full size”. Many are presented in “collections”. Each collection is shown as a group of thumbnails. If you click on a thumbnail is larger version will be shown.
You can step through the collections manually using the and buttons.
To stop looking at a collection (or single photograph) use the button
Since there are several photo’s in a collection, then you can use the button (bottom right of the photograph) to start and pause an “automatic slide show”
How to submit photo’s
Everyone is invited to contribute to this site. If you want to submit a photo to the website then please look at the submit a photo page.
How to contact a photographer
Below each collection is the name of the photographer and a link to the contact details page. If no details are given on the contact details page then the photographer has asked that any contacts are done via the Parish Council;

The photographs included are not intended to show the sort of thing that must be submitted - within the restrictions of our website we welcome all photographs that celebrate Alwoodley - buildings, suburbs, parkland, farmland, events, wildife (plants, animals & fungi!) Etc
I offer my heartfelt appreciation to John Websdale (for the initial inspiration, discussions and photographs),
Roger Gilbert, Valerie Kent and Tom Swire for their generous permission to use their photographs
