Alwoodley Parish Council offers its condolences to the Royal Family on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Her duty, service and devotion to the people of the United Kingdom and the Common wealth was unparalleled. We have lived in a truly golden Elizabethan age, the likes of which we will never see again.

Alwoodley Parish Council join with people around the world in mourning her loss.

Mike Hull is the Parish Council’s Lengthsman.

A lengthsman is sometimes known as a Parish Caretaker. His duties include, amongst other things: hedge trimming, footpath clearance, verge tidying, litter picking and other things as they arise or you request.

Mike is self-employed and has a knowledge of the locality and owns the necessary tools, equipment and transport to do the job, though we have provided some specialist equipment.
