Parish Council Grants

The Parish Council runs a small grants scheme for voluntary groups and local charities based within the Alwoodley Parish Council area. The maximum award is £500.

The Parish Council regret that they cannot fund applications for individuals.

Start-up Grants

The Parish Council has also helped to set up a number of small voluntary groups by providing a grant towards their start-up costs. These groups include:

  • Friends of Adel Woods
  • Walkabout
  • Alwoodley in Bloom

Recent Grants

Alwoodley Allotment Society

The Parish Council agreed to fund a replacement water circulation pump to allow water supply for the plot holders.

Moortown West Community Association

The Parish Council contributed towards the Street art on the media boxes throughout the parish council area.

St Barnabas’ Church

The Parish Council funded towards the resurfacing of the car park in 2019.

Alwoodley Community Centre

The Parish Council granted funds towards the celebrations for the 70th Anniversary of the opening of the ACA.

Alwoodley Junior Football Team

The Parish Council’s grant provided football kit for the Under 10s team. The team has played in the local league and provided an excellent opportunity for local young people.

Alwoodley in Bloom

The Parish Council has funded the purchase of bulbs and plants to brighten up local areas.
